Hello, my name is William Earl Rayford # 999371 and I’m housed on Texas Deathrow. I would like to remove any and all myths about this place being or having any resemblance to a “country club” or “some luxury resort”! We here on deathrow are very much close to the cutting edge, of being in a place of holding that is nearly totally inhumane. Living in this place and trying to keep owe sanity is a daily straggle. This is a lonsome and dark place, you have had some to commit suicide and many who have and are losing it mentally. Daily you can hear the loud howling and nightly sobbing, which gives credence to deathrow being a “horrible place”! At the present I do not see things getting any better, what few options we have had in the past are constantly been reduced.
Deathrow offers no positive stimuluses, and if it was left up to the administration “they would like to remove any and all positive help organizations”. I would say the help organizations are the life blood sonta speak of deathrow, you hear the willingness of men wanting to carry on and keep fighting.
It is through their reception of letters and overall support that these men are able to exhibit the strength and encouragement that their pen pals gives them. Deathrow no doubt is a very lonely and isolated place, “that is it you allow yourself to be alone”. I far several years did me reach out to the help organizations, I certainly look back and say “that was huge mistake”! I have had many depressive days and nights, I attribute that to my not reaching out. Today and in the future days”, I do not want to be alone”, “I do not want to walk this walk all by myself”. There is an ever river Flow of hope, encouragement and inspiration in having a friend.
Please write I would love to partner up with you.
Sincerely William
