Hello. I hope that this letter will to find you doing well, and also in real good health and spirits too.

I am writing you, in hopes that you all may be able to help me with a matter and that is why I am writing to you. I was given your address, by a Christian friend, telling me to write to you, in hopes that you may be able to help me. So here I am.

I am a Death Row inmate, here at San Quentin State Prison. I have been here for 24 years, and have now gotten to the end of all my appeals. Which leaves the state to either execute me, or give me clemency. But I’m just putting all this in the Lords hands now.

The help I hope you all can help me with is, I need a new pair of prescription glasses. Cause my eyes have gotten much worse now, cause the doctor told me, with my high blood pressure. It has caused pressure behind my eyes, and has causes swelling and has made my eyes worse. So I have to now get new glasses, and I don’t have to money to get them, cause I’m an indigent inmate. I have wrote to my family, friends, and attorney and they can’t help me. So I have been writing to all kinds of places, like charity places etc. and as of to date 2/19/09. I still have not found a place to help send me the money to get the new glasses. The new glasses will cost me $210.00 total, other places wanted $ 275.00 up to $ 300,00, so this is the cheapest price I found.

If you all can’t help me with this matter, do you have any places I can write to, that you know could help me? If so could you please write and let me know with the place and address. If so, I would be truly grateful to you all. I will pray, that you can help in any way, whether sending me the money to help me, or a place or places to write to, that can help me.
